As I was working on my laptop, I noticed the battery was running low and I connected it so I can keep using it. I noticed that the laptop kept givngme signals that it was low on battery. I looked at the wall and the power cord was still connected to the source (electricity). I thought to myself “what’s going on here?”, I lifted the cord and the laptop and noticed that I did not connect the cord to the laptop. Even though the cord was plugged to the electricity source, it was not connected at the other end to the laptop, hence, the reason for the signal that said “battery running low”. We may be carried away with activities in the house of God, busy serving without being connected to the SOURCE! When this happens, we run low on battery and we have no charge….we will be unable to serve God effectively. As you go about your daily activities, doing business, networking with people, serving God in his vineyard, whatever, you are busy doing, remember to STAY CONNECTED! John 15:4 says abide in me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
You can abide in Him by having a constant fellowship with God in prayer, worship and studying of His word. Let this be your goal as we start another month in the year 2019- Abide in Him and STAY CONNECTED.
Shalom!
