Light at the Lighthouse Music Festival Now in its tenth year, the “Best Music Festival in the South Bay” will provide a FREE concert with some of the best musicians ever to perform at Point Fermin Park in San Pedro on Saturday, August 30, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Typically, some 5,000 fans cluster into the park near San Pedro’s historic lighthouse to enjoy the talent performing on “three stages for all ages.” Nationally known recording artists perform on the main stage while popular local bands appear on the second stage, a portable unit brought in behind the main stage. LATL 2014 Main stage features Live Music from world renowned band, Christafari and highly acclaimed bands such as The Soul Reformation, Benny Oke & Sound of Worship, Caleb Quaye, The Strangers Band, Cliff Young & Living Sacrifice, Rapper, CrossEyes and many more. The Kids’ Kingdom area features kids performing for kids, a puppet stage, face painting, and FREE climbing wall. Nearby is a craft arts center where the kids can prepare surprise items for their parents. Rounding out the festival experience will be the Graffiti Art live mural painting, gourmet food trucks, and local arts and crafts vendors. Festival organizer Dr. Bill Fleury commented, “Not only is this the best music festival in the South Bay, but also it’s the best family festival in the South Bay. We are inviting everyone in the community to ‘Come picnic in the park on Labor Day Saturday, with Light at the Lighthouse.’’
